DR. NADIA YOUNIS
Nadia Younis is an experienced public affairs & regulatory consultant of over 27 years of experience in Pharma. Dr. Nadia has with a proven track record in the Middle East of building successful alliances through innovative partnership programs between government stakeholders and the Pharma Industry.
Prior to establishing her consultancy business, Dr. Nadia held the position as the Director of Government & Regulatory Affairs Middle East with Astra Zeneca. Where she previously worked with Pfizer for around 6 years, initially as Country Head Regulatory, Gulf & Levant and then as Director, Public Affairs & Communication, Gulf & Levant.
Before joining the Multinational Pharma Industry, Dr. Nadia served at the Ministry of Health in the UAE for 8 years. During her time at the MoH, she held several positions, one of which was the Head of the Registration and Pricing Committee; during which she also served as a member of the GCC Central Registration Committee for 5 years. During her service at the government, Dr. Nadia actively contributed in establishing many of the regulatory frameworks in the UAE & GCC, mainly the 1st Clinical Research Guidelines, 1st Registration Guidelines for Medical Devices, Good Pharmaceutical Practices for Storage and Distribution and many others. Dr. Nadia has started her career in the year 1990 as a medical representative at Bristol Myers Squib then at Ciba Geigy (now Novartis) before shifting to the regulatory domain.
Dr. Nadia is equipped with a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, a Masters Degree in Healthcare Management from Zayed University and a Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH) from John Hopkins University, School of Public Health in Baltimore in the US where she has also completed her advanced studies for the Dr PH program.
