Dr. Ehab Abueida has 18 years of experience as a regulator. Since he has joined Ministry of Health & Prevention UAE in 2000, Dr. Ehab was promoted across various positions, with his final position in 2016 as the Drug Policy Advisor for the Public Health and Licensing sector. This sector includes the main Departments responsible for regulating and control of various aspects related to health and pharmaceutical products.

During his entire service at the Ministry, Dr. Ehab was considered a trusted advisor for the Ministry’s senior officials. Prior to his advisory role, Dr. Ehab headed the Section for regulating Medicinal Products and Medical Devices, he also served as a member in most of the committees regulating medicinal products, dietary supplements, medical devices, GMP & Licensing, etc. For almost all of his service at the Ministry, Dr. Ehab served an active member of the Drug Registration Committee in the UAE and a member of the GCC Central Drug Registration Committee representing UAE.

Dr. Ehab has made substantial contributions to the establishing of the main regulatory frameworks governing Pharma and Medical device industries, clinical research, stability and bioequivalence in the UAE & Gulf. Dr. Ehab was hosted as a speaker, panelist & as a member of the steering committee at most of the regulatory conferences in the region.

Currently, Dr. Ehab is the Managing Partner for the consultancy firm he established in April 2018 alongside Dr. Nadia Younis, Stellar Pharma Consultancy.

Dr. Ehab Abueida has a PhD in Pharmaceutics from Albert Szent Gyorgy Medical University in Hungary (2000).
